A Moore County man is facing charges after investigators say they found child sexual exploitation materials linked to him.
Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced Friday that 20-year-old Samuel Madison Grant of the Spies community was arrested on September 4 following an investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
The case began after forensic specialists with the Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Grant is charged with two counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 18 in Moore County District Court.
The Sheriff’s Office is part of the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which works with local, state, and federal agencies to investigate these types of cases.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
