A Jeep Grand Cherokee plowed into the side of a brick home outside of Aberdeen on Wednesday evening, causing significant damage and sending the driver to the hospital.
The crash occurred around 7:45 p.m. along the 100 block of Forest Drive. According to state troopers, the driver was rounding a curve when they may have experienced a medical episode, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway.

The Jeep reportedly tore through one yard, striking a picnic table, then continued into a neighboring yard, hitting two parked vehicles before crashing into the side of the home.
An adult and two young children were inside at the time, but no injuries were reported from within the house.
The impact left a large dent in the brick exterior and caused a partial collapse of the home’s chimney.
The driver was alert and talking to first responders before being transported to the hospital for evaluation. Their condition has not been released.
