A woman was injured in a mobile home fire early Wednesday morning on Colin Road, just off North Howard Mill Road north of Robbins.

The fire was reported around 7:45 a.m., when the homeowner awoke to smoke inside the residence. According to authorities, she walked out of her bedroom and saw flames near the front door. She was able to escape the home and alert a neighbor, who then called 911.

When first responders arrived on the scene, they were met with visible flames and smoke coming from the home. Fire crews quickly went to work and were able to contain the blaze to the living room area, preventing it from spreading further.

The homeowner suffered burns and was transported by Moore County EMS to the hospital. Her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
