A Lillington man is facing several felony charges after investigators say he broke into a building in Cameron and stole a motor vehicle along with other items.
Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the Moore County Sheriff’s Office received a report on August 3, about a break-in at a residential outbuilding in Cameron. Deputies said a variety of items were taken, including a vehicle.
On August 9, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol found 27-year-old Kevin Paul Wood in Lee County in possession of the alleged stolen vehicle. Investigators with the sheriff’s office charged him with felony breaking or entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
Wood was taken to the Lee County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Moore County District Court on August 13.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
