Pinebluff man arrested on child exploitation charges following tip

A Pinebluff man is facing multiple child exploitation charges following an investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields announced the arrest of 31-year-old Dylan Robert Clifton after investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 200 block of East Charles Avenue on Wednesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after they received Cyber Tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities say those tips led them to obtain a search warrant for the residence.

During the search, Clifton was taken into custody and charged with five counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Clifton is being held at the Moore County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for July 10 in Moore County District Court.

The investigation is ongoing, and officials say additional charges may be possible.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office is an active member of the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children (NCICAC) Task Force, which works to protect children from online exploitation and abuse.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Information and photos in this article were contributed by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
