Law enforcement agents were spotted executing search warrants at Lucky Star, located along U.S. Highway 1 in Aberdeen, and at Tommy’s Crown on N.C. Highway 15-501, according to eyewitnesses and law enforcement officials.

According to the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, the North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) is the lead enforcement agency for the state’s alcoholic beverage control, lottery, and tobacco laws. The agency often works with local and federal partners to investigate potential violations involving controlled substances, gaming, and regulatory infractions.

Law enforcement vehicles were seen parked outside the establishments for several hours on Wednesday afternoon, with agents entering and exiting the properties. It is currently unclear whether any crimes were committed, any arrests were made or what items, if any, were seized during the raids. The exact nature of the investigation has not been disclosed.

Both Lucky Star and Tommy’s Crown remained closed to the public during the operation.
