Three-alarm fire damages Seven Lakes West home overnight

Published on

A three-alarm house fire prompted a large response from fire departments across Moore County early Monday morning after a fire broke out at a home in Seven Lakes West.

The fire was reported shortly after 1 a.m. in the 200 block of Morgan Trail Court. Dispatchers sent multiple fire departments to the scene as crews worked to bring the blaze under control.

The first firefighters to arrive reported flames visible through the roof of the home, prompting an expanded response that ultimately reached a three-alarm fire.

All of the home’s residents were able to safely exit the house, and no injuries have been reported.

The fire caused damage to the interior of the home, leaving the residents displaced. The American Red Cross was called to assist those affected by the fire.

Firefighters from departments across Moore County remained on scene for several hours, with crews continuing to work until at least 4 a.m. extinguishing hot spots and securing the scene.

The cause of the fire has not been released, and the fire remains under investigation.

Moore County News will update this story as additional information becomes available from fire officials.
