A two-vehicle crash near the Woodlake community sent one person to the hospital Thursday morning, but officials say the injuries were minor.

The crash happened around 8 a.m. on Lobelia Road near McLaughlin Road. The collision involved two SUVs, both of which sustained heavy front-end damage. Airbags deployed in both vehicles, and one SUV came to rest in a nearby field while the other remained on the roadway.

According to Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue, no serious injuries were reported. One person was transported to the hospital with minor back pain.

The crash partially blocked Lobelia Road while firefighters, EMS crews and law enforcement worked the scene. Traffic experienced delays until the vehicles could be removed and the roadway was cleared.

The cause of the crash has not been released.
