A West End man is facing multiple felony charges after a Moore County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the alleged sexual exploitation of a minor, according to authorities.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the investigation began April 29 after the Sheriff’s Office received information from a resident in the West End area regarding the alleged exploitation of a minor.

According to the MCSO, investigators conducted forensic examinations during the investigation, which led to the arrest of 18-year-old Sebastian Charles Buck of Fox Run Court in West End.

Authorities said Buck was charged with 11 counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 11 counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Buck was being held Friday in the Moore County Detention Center under a $550,000 secured bond, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Court records show Buck is scheduled to appear in Moore County District Court on May 27.

The Moore County Sheriff’s Office said it is an active participant in the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
