VIDEO: Large outside fire quickly spreads in Eagle Springs

Published on

Fire crews from all over the county worked Monday to stop a large outside fire from spreading in Eagle Springs.

Large flames could be seen at the end of Parker Road as firefighters arrived just after 3 p.m. The blaze consumed a large area of wood debris, a field, and even a tree line.

Moore County News was able to assist firefighters with visuals from the MCN drone. Looking at the view from the drone, crews were able to spot fast moving flames and positioned units in place to get in front of the fire line.

It took a little over an hour for first responders to get the fire under control. Luckily, winds blew the flames away from nearby homes, and no structures were involved.

According to a neighbor, the fire was likely started as a pile of burning wood debris that got out of control.
