Storm headaches continue days after TS Debby

Published on

It’s been several days since Tropical Storm Debby made its way through our area, however the effects are still being felt.

This morning, emergency crews have responded to several storm related calls in Moore County.

Eastwood, Carthage, and Southern Pines Fire Departments responded Monday morning to a home off Esther Road after a family reported their driveway was washed out by rushing water.

And shortly after that, West End Fire & Rescue closed Currie Mill Road near Candy Road after a tree fell, taking power lines down with it. The power company was able to quickly repair the line, and fire crews removed the tree from the roadway. Currie Mill Road was closed for approximately an hour.
