Authorities say they arrested 41-year-old Matthew Carl Graves of Southern Pines, charging him with multiple drug and firearm offenses. These charges include possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule I, II, and VI controlled substances, felony possession of Schedule I, II, and VI controlled substances, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances, simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a stolen firearm. Additionally, he was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the report.

Graves was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a 48-hour hold, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 12, 2025.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
