Published on

Firefighters from Westmoore Fire Department arrived to ammo going off in a truck that caught fire outside of Robbins on Wednesday night.

First responders were dispatched to Tarry Church Road at Browers Mill Road just before 9:15 p.m. When they realized ammo was going off from the heat of the flames, they held back some distance for safety.

It was reported that the driver was not with the vehicle at the time of dispatch, however the driver did return.

The entire front end of the truck was complete gutted by the flames. The seat and steering wheel wire framing was the only thing left in the cab of the truck.

The intersection was closed for a period of time while the fire was put out, and the scene was cleared.
