Search crews have found the 72-year-old woman that went missing around noon on Friday in Foxfire.
Law enforcement personnel and firefighters from multiple agencies searched for hours in the area of North Shamrock Drive with K9 search dogs, drones, and even the N.C. State Highway Patrol’s helicopter.
According to authorities on scene, the woman was located just before 7:30 p.m. deep in a field off Bluebird Lane by K9 search dogs. They say she was in good spirits, drinking water, and had her dog with her.
Moore County News saw the woman talking to first responders while being loaded into a Moore County EMS ambulance, thanking them for finding her. She was transported to the hospital to be evaluated. She is expected to be okay.
West End Fire & Rescue, Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue, Eagle Springs Fire Department, Eastwood Fire Department, Pinebluff Fire & Rescue, Moore County Public Safety, Moore County Sheriff’s Office, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and N. C. State Highway Patrol were all part of the successful search efforts.
