Crash closes South May Street, Jeep overturned

A crash involving an overturned Jeep Wrangler closed South May Street in downtown Southern Pines on Tuesday. The collision happened around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection with East Massachusetts Ave.

According to scanner traffic, one person had cuts their arm and was evaluated at the scene.

In a post to Facebook, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue says the intersection will be closed until around Noon. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
