Classic truck, SUV collide at Seven Lakes intersection

Published on

A two-vehicle crash involving a vintage pickup and a large SUV temporarily blocked traffic Wednesday at the intersection of N.C. Highway 211 and Dead Man Curve Road just outside Seven Lakes.

According to the N.C. State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred when the teenage driver of a GMC Yukon XL attempted to turn westbound onto Highway 211 from Dead Man Curve Road and pulled into the path of an eastbound 1952 Ford F-1 pickup.

The Yukon was carrying two occupants — a teenage female and her younger brother. The driver of the Ford was the sole occupant of the classic truck.

Moore County paramedics evaluated everyone involved at the scene, but no injuries were reported.

Troopers cited the teen for failure to yield.
