A driver sustained minor injuries late Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on East Indiana Avenue near Falcon Crest Lane outside of Aberdeen.

The incident occurred just after 10:30 p.m. as the vehicle was heading toward Southern Pines. According to authorities, the driver ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and lost control—causing the vehicle to veer off the left side and strike a tree.

Emergency crews responded quickly and treated the driver at the scene for minor injuries. One lane of East Indiana Avenue was temporarily closed while emergency personnel investigated and cleared the scene.

The roadway was fully reopened a short time later.
