One person was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon following a three-vehicle crash on N.C. Highway 211 near the intersection of Seven Lakes Drive.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. when, according to authorities, the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe rear-ended a Honda Accord that was stopped near the traffic light. The force of the collision pushed the Accord into a Jeep Wrangler in front of it.

The driver of the Accord was transported to the hospital with injuries believed to be minor.

Police said witnesses reported the Tahoe’s driver for careless and reckless driving prior to the collision.

The westbound lane and center turn lane of Highway 211 were closed during the crash investigation. Westbound traffic was diverted through the right turn lane to bypass the scene.
