Car crashes into tree line on Hoffman Road

A vehicle ended up in a tree line Wednesday night after the driver missed a stop sign at the intersection of Hoffman Road and Roseland Road.

West End Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the scene around 9:20 p.m. and arrived to the car fully into the wooded area located at the intersection. The driver of the Chevy Malibu was still in the vehicle when crews arrived, and fire fighters were able to help him get out.

The driver is not from the area, and according to N.C. State Highway Patrol, was driving on Roseland Road and did not see the stop sign running across Hoffman Road into the tree line.

Moore County EMS transported the driver to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.

The intersection was closed for a brief time as the vehicle was removed by a tow truck.
