A local business is cleaning up broken glass and debris inside their store, after a vehicle came crashing through its front window on Tuesday morning.

The incident took place at Excitement Couples Boutique in the 600 block of SW Broad Street in Southern Pines.

According to Southern Pines Fire officials, the driver of the vehicle was parked in front of the business, and pushed the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal. The impact sent glass and store merchandise all over the store.

The driver was not injured, and the store was closed at the time of the crash.
