Two-vehicle crash temporarily closes intersection in Pinehurst

A two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Monticello Drive and Morganton Road briefly disrupted traffic Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. and involved a Lexus sedan and a Toyota RAV4. According to Pinehurst Police, the driver of the Lexus was attempting to turn left onto Monticello when the vehicle entered the path of the oncoming RAV4.

Both drivers were evaluated at the scene and did not suffer serious injuries.

Monticello Drive was closed at the intersection, and one lane of Morganton Road was temporarily shut down while crews cleared the scene.
