A two-vehicle crash closed a portion of North May Street near Yadkin Road late Saturday morning, sending three people to the hospital and leaving one vehicle overturned.
The crash occurred around 10 a.m. when two vehicles collided, causing one to run off the road and the other to flip onto its side. Emergency crews responded quickly, and a medical helicopter was dispatched for one of the injured individuals. However, the patient refused air transport and was instead taken to the hospital by ambulance.






North May Street remains closed at this time as authorities continue to investigate the incident. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
Officials have not yet released the names of those involved. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
