Published on

A local man driving a Ford pick-up truck crashed through a telephone pole, splitting it, before overturning in a field.

First responders were dispatched to Flowers Road near Currie Mill Road shortly after 7 p.m. It was reported the male driver was able to get out of the truck, and left the scene after being picked up by another vehicle.

Investigators told Moore County News at the scene, the driver lost control around a curve, spun out before hitting the pole, then overturned. They believe speed and alcohol may have been factors in the crash.

The condition of the driver is unknown.
