A Robbins man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after a routine traffic stop in Aberdeen led officers to uncover illegal drugs and a concealed firearm, according to Aberdeen Police.

Brandon Alejandro Garcia-Sanchez, 24, was arrested on Tuesday, June 3, following a traffic stop for illegal window tint, the Aberdeen Police Department said in a press release.

“Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and the passenger advised there was marijuana inside the vehicle,” the press release stated.

During the search, police say they discovered a concealed firearm, marijuana, and approximately 128 grams of illegal THC vape pens.

The passenger was cited and released at the scene. Garcia-Sanchez was taken into custody and charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, felony possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance, misdemeanor carrying a concealed handgun, and misdemeanor window tint violation.

He was transported to the Moore County Jail and appeared before a magistrate, who issued a $15,000 secured bond.
