A two-vehicle crash in Seven Lakes caused traffic headaches along N.C. Highway 211 at Seven Lakes Drive right around 5 p.m.

The collision was between a Kia Forte that has heavy front end damage, and a Honda Pilot that is overturned onto its roof. Both drivers were evaluated at the scene, and were not transported to the hospital.

Troopers tell Moore County News on the scene, the driver of the Honda Pilot was traveling east on Highway 211 and ran the red light. The Kia Forte was coming from Seven Lakes West and crossing the highway onto Seven Lakes Drive, and collided with the Pilot. The force of the impact caused the Pilot to overturn.

Because of the location of the crash, firefighters from Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue had to get creative with traffic routes. Traffic traveling east on Highway 211 was detoured through the business district to Seven Lakes Drive. Traffic traveling west on 211 was directed by fire fighters through the intersection, along with traffic coming off of Seven Lakes Drive. People coming out of Seven Lakes West were told to turn around to go out the Highway 73 exit.
