One person killed in Hoke County crash

A 27-year-old man was killed on N.C. 211 Thursday afternoon, after a head on crash in Hoke County. The highway was closed for an extended period of time close to the scene at Pond Road, just west of Raeford.

Troopers with the N.C. Highway Patrol tell Moore County News that a tow truck that was responding to a different crash on N.C. 211 went to pass another vehicle, and collided head on with the vehicle driven by the 27-year-old.

The 84-year-old tow truck driver was is facing multiple charges.
