A Robbins mother has been arrested after her 18-month-old daughter died while her in care.
On May 30, 2024, Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Spies Road in Robbins to a report that fthe 18-month-old was unresponsive. The child was transported to Moore Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
During the investigation, MCSO investigators discovered that the mother, Princess Jasmine McAllister, 26, left the child unattended for several hours. She also lied to investigators when she was asked about the circumstances surrounding the death.
McAllister has been charged with one count of felony child abuse, one count of child neglect, and one count of resisting a public officer. In a press release, the MCSO says that after obtaining additional evidence McAllister intentionally caused the death of the child, she was charged with first degree murder.
McAllister remains in the Moore County Detention Center without bond. Her first court appearance is on June 12, 2024.
