Firefighters from Carthage and Highfalls responded to a fire in an oven on the 500 block of Brady Road after a caller reported visible flames and smoke. However, upon arrival, the flames had already been extinguished due to the homeowner’s swift actions.

After the first Carthage unit arrived on scene, responding units from Highfalls were canceled. First responders then worked to ventilate smoke from the home.
