A Moore County man is facing 20 felony charges related to child sexual exploitation following a joint investigation by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation’s Computer Crimes Unit.
According to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields, 25-year-old Timothy Ray Hair Jr., also known as Timothy Hair-Comer, was arrested Friday, May 16, after law enforcement executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Candor Road in Eagle Springs.
The investigation was prompted by multiple CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), leading to a coordinated response from the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services Division, the Special Response Team, and SBI special agents.
Hair is charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was booked into the Moore County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
His first court appearance is scheduled for May 21 in Moore County District Court.
