Another T-bone crash at 15-501 crossover in Carthage

Published on

In what seems to be a weekly occurrence, first responders were dispatched to a crash at the crossover intersection for US 15-501 in Carthage.

At 10 p.m. on Monday, callers said a “bad crash” happened at the 15-501 crossover onto Glendon Carthage Road, according to scanner communications from dispatch.

UNC Carolina Air Care was placed on standby while emergency crews rushed to the scene. Carthage Fire & Rescue along with Moore County EMS arrived quickly, and determined Air Care was not needed.

A Toyota 4Runner collided with a Honda Civic, causing the Civic to spin around facing the opposite direction of travel. The back driver’s side of the Civic had damage, and its airbags had been deployed.

Luckily, no one was injured in the crash. Carthage Police are investigating the cause, and did not release details at the scene.
