A Moore County man is facing a long list of drug charges after deputies say they found multiple narcotics, cash and a firearm during a search in Eagle Springs.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields said detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office assisted Probation and Parole officers with a search Tuesday at a home in the 9800 block of NC Highway 705.

Investigators said they seized MDMA, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, Suboxone, oxycodone, hydrocodone, buprenorphine hydrochloride, drug paraphernalia, a firearm and more than $600 in cash.

The resident, 42-year-old Curtis David Morgan, was arrested and charged with trafficking MDMA, trafficking opium or heroin, and a number of other drug-related offenses, including possession with intent to sell and deliver several controlled substances. He is also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Morgan was taken to the Moore County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is set for Aug. 28 in Moore County District Court.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
