A woman was transported to the hospital Thursday evening following a single-vehicle rollover crash that temporarily shut down part of Putnam Glendon Road.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Putnam Glendon Road and Spivey Road. According to state troopers, the woman was driving eastbound when she ran off the right shoulder, overcorrected, and veered off the left side of the road. The vehicle overturned and landed sideways in a ditch.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was trapped inside for about 15 minutes until emergency crews were able to cut open a door and free her.

She was evaluated on the scene and then transported to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries, authorities said.

Putnam Glendon Road was closed at Spivey Road for roughly 45 minutes while crews investigated and cleared the scene.
