Vehicle hits multiple trees in Jackson Springs

Published on

A female driver is lucky to escape injury after crashing her vehicle into multiple trees along N.C. Highway 73. The collision happened just before 10:30 on Sunday night near Hotel Street.

Troopers say the driver was traveling westbound on Highway 73 during heavy rain, and lost control around a curve. The Toyota RAV4 crossed the centerline, went off the left side of the road and collided with a tree. The impact caused the RAV4 to spin around and hit another tree. The vehicle came to a rest in the eastbound lane of the highway.

West End Fire & Rescue quickly arrived on scene, and said the driver was outside of her vehicle when they arrived and was not injured.
