Head-on crash closes lane of N.C. 24-27 near Robbins

UPDATE: Troopers investigating the crash updated Moore County News, saying the driver of the Toyota was attempting to turn left to Highway 705 from eastbound Highway 24-27, turning into the path of the Accord traveling westbound on Highway 24-27.


A head-on crash along N.C. 24-27 at N.C. 705 sent five people to the hospital Friday night. A Toyota RAV4 and Honda Accord collided at the stop light.

Robbins Fire Department closed the eastbound lane of Highway 24-27 for over an hour while the crash was investigated and cleared.

According to fire officials, two adults and two children were in the Rav 4, and one person was in the Accord. All five were transported to Moore Regional Hospital, their injuries are unknown.

N.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
