A teenager suffered minor injuries after he crashed into a tree along Union Church Road outside of Carthage on Thursday.
Dispatchers sent first responders to the scene near Lynch Road just before 4:45 p.m. Crews arrived to a Ford F-150 that had heavy damage to the passenger side of the truck, where the vehicle made impact with the tree.
Investigators say the teen was traveling on Union Church Road towards Carthage when he went off the right side of the road, over corrected, and collided with the tree at the front passenger door.
The teen was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, and was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
