An elderly man from Robbins had to be airlifted after the truck he was driving flipped multiple times.

The crash happened on Highway 705 near Clanies Loop Road just outside of Robbins.

According to investigators with the N.C. State Highway Patrol, the man veered off the right side of the road and hit a drainage culvert which caused his truck to flip multiple times.

A landing zone was set up at Davis Community Center, where Moore County EMS transported the man to be flown to a trauma center. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Robbins Fire & Rescue worked to prevent a leak of fluids coming from the truck. Moore County Sheriff’s Office and Robbins Police Department assisted at the scene.
