Truck slams into Wells Fargo bank

Published on

The end of the work day came with a jolt for employees at the Wells Fargo in Southern Pines on Tuesday afternoon, when a GMC Denali pick-up truck slammed into a wall at the bank.

The truck went over a sidewalk, through some landscaping, and collided into a wall and window on the front side of the Wells Fargo.

No one was injured during the crash. A tow truck removed the vehicle from the building, and a Southern Pines building inspector was on scene to assess the damage to the building.

First responders from Southern Pines Fire & Rescue taped off the walkway around the damage to prevent anyone from getting too close.
