Arrests made after an overnight break-in at a Seven Lakes business

Two men from Spring Lake were arrested over night after breaking into and stealing items from a Seven Lakes business. Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a breaking and entering into a business located in the 200 block MacDougall Drive around 2 a.m.

According to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a description of the suspect vehicle, a black Chevy Impala, and were informed it was headed towards Eagle Springs on Highway 211. Deputies were able to location the vehicle on Eagle Springs Road near Highway 211, and followed the Impala back down Highway 211 towards Seven Lakes. The deputies stopped the vehicle and recovered thousands of dollars in goods stolen from the business in addition to methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia.

Brian Daniel Borowski, 41, was charged with multiple felonies including breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance. Other charges include trafficking amphetamine, possession of burglary tools, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Borowski did not receive bond.

Zachary Andre McKoy, 44, was also charged with multiple felonies including breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods and possession of methamphetamine. McKoy was also charged with trafficking amphetamine. He is jailed on a $50,000.00 secured bond.

Both defendants have a court date of May 31, 2024.
