One person was injured after crashing into a large tree that fell into a roadway after storms that passed through the area Saturday.

The collision happened in the 700 block of Gurney W Road outside of Robbins late Saturday.

An elderly man was traveling along the road and did not see the large tree blocking the roadway. The Ford F-150 he was driving slammed into the tree, causing the airbags to deploy.

The man was taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital with minor injuries.

Robbins Fire & Rescue cut the tree and removed it from the roadway.
