A crash on Highway 24/27 at Bryant Road resulted in two females being airlifted for serious injuries. A deputy with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash around 6:30 p.m.

According to investigators with the N.C. The Rubicon t-boned the passenger side of the Spark. The force of the impact caused both cars to spin out, and off the roadway. The Spark came to rest in a muddy ditch.

The front passenger door to the Spark had to be cut off by firefighters from Cypress Pointe Fire Department and Carthage Fire Department to free the passengers. Moore County EMS transported the two passengers of the Spark to be flown out from a nearby field by UNC Carolina Air Care and Life Link Air helicopters.

The driver of the Spark appeared to have injuries at the scene, but refused medical care. The driver of the Rubicon was not injured.
