A three-vehicle collision slowed traffic at the intersection of Doubs Chapel Road and Murdocksville Road on Monday afternoon.
First responders were sent to the location shortly after 5 p.m. arriving to one vehicle, a Toyota 4Runner, in the intersection, and two other vehicles off the road way. The 4Runner had heavy front-end damage, and a Chevy Trailblazer had damage to the front and back of the vehicle. The third vehicle, a GMC Sierra, had minor damage to the drivers side.

N.C. Highway Patrol investigated the crash, telling Moore County News the driver of the Trailblazer traveling south on Murdocksville Road failed to yield to the 4Runner that was traveling east on Doubs Chapel Road. The Sierra was traveling northbound on Murdocksville Road, and was stopped at the stop sign. The impact of the initial collision caused a vehicle to hit the stopped Sierra.
The female driver of the Trailblazer was transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but any injuries are thought to be minor.
Crews from Eastwood Fire Department and Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue directed traffic through the intersection for nearly two hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
