$23.9M Moore County estate could break N.C. real estate record

A sprawling private estate between Carthage and Cameron has been listed for $23.9 million — a price that, if met, would mark the most expensive residential property sale in North Carolina history.

Called C Bar 3 Farm, the 530-acre property includes three separate homes, two private lakes, and a variety of amenities built with privacy and sustainability in mind.

The main residence is a 9,700-square-foot modern craftsman-style home, accompanied by a guest house, a hunting lodge, and recreational features such as a pool, spa, and outdoor kitchen. A separate wellness building includes a gym, sauna, and yoga studio.

Designed by a former security strategist, the property also features barns, historic outbuildings, miles of ATV trails, and shooting ranges — all enclosed with a surveillance system and built to support off-the-grid living.

Located off Highway 24-27 between Carthage and Cameron, the property is one of the highest-priced active listings in the state.

If it sells at or near its current price, it would surpass the previous record set in 2023, when a luxury mountain estate sold for nearly $16 million.
