The victim in Sunday night’s shooting in an Aberdeen parking lot has been identified as 17-year-old Kaleb Kelly, according to family members. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Kelly’s family with unexpected medical expenses as he recovers from critical injuries.

According to the fundraiser, Kelly was shot in the upper abdomen and has undergone several surgeries at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. His condition is currently stable.

Three individuals were arrested in connection with the April 27 shooting, which occurred around 10 p.m. in the parking lot of Going Going Gone on U.S. Highway 15-501. Aberdeen Police say the incident followed an argument between three teens, during which one allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire.
