According to Sheriff Ronnie Fields, detectives with the Moore County Sheriff’s Office carried out a search warrant on August 27 in the 9400 block of NC Highway 705. Investigators reported finding fentanyl, methamphetamine, amphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia inside the home.

Anthony Michael Early, 25, of Eagle Springs, faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. Deputies said he was taken to the Moore County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court date is set for September 17 in Moore County District Court.

Also arrested was 56-year-old Sonya McNeill Early of Eagle Springs. She is charged with resisting a public officer and was released on a written promise to appear in court on the same date.
