Teen transported to hospital after colliding with trees

Published on

A teen driver went to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after she crashed into trees along Old Glendon Road just outside of Carthage.

Authorities say the teen was heading north on Old Glendon Road when she lost control around a curve. The vehicle went off the road, into a ditch and collided into several trees. Investigators say the road was slick at the time of the crash, and could have been a factor.

Emergency personnel told Moore County News the teen suffered injuries from broken glass, but that the injuries appeared to be not life-threatening.

Old Glendon Road was reduced to one lane while the crash was investigated and cleared.
