Two people were taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Highway 211 near Old Barn Road outside of Eagle Springs, close to the county line, officials said.

The crash happened before 8 a.m. as the vehicle was traveling into Moore County. Authorities said the driver lost control after the car hydroplaned and struck a tree on the right side of the road.

Three people were inside the vehicle. The conditions of the two taken to the hospital were not immediately available.

Highway 211 was reduced to one lane while emergency crews worked the scene.
