Reward offered for information after USPS worker robbed in Southern Pines

A $150,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest of three suspects that allegedly robbed a postal worker in Southern Pines on Wednesday.

Southern Pines Police say that the postal worker was delivering mail to community mailboxes along Elk Ridge Lane around 1 p.m., when three males robbed him at gunpoint.

Personal effects, undelivered mail and other property belonging to the U.S. Postal Service were taken in the robbery. No one was hurt.

The police say the suspects left on foot, and have not been found at the time of this publication. Police are asking for the pubic’s help to identify the suspects, including if anyone has any home camera footage of the area at the time of the robbery.
