A woman is facing several charges after a man was shot twice during what investigators say was a domestic incident near Carthage on Thursday morning.

Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue, Moore County EMS and the Sheriff’s Office were called to Liberty Lane off McIntosh Road around 8 a.m. for reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man with two gunshot wounds.

The Carthage Fire Department set up a landing zone on Union Church Road, where Air Care transported the victim to a trauma center. His condition has not been released.

Deputies arrested 47-year-old Sarah Rhea Kinz and charged her with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present.

Moore County News is working to get more details on what led to the shooting.

This is the third shooting Cypress Pointe Fire and Rescue has responded to in the past month.
