The Southern Pines Police Department has released new details in the stabbing incident that happened on Sunday.
In a press release, SPPD Deputy Chief Charles Campbell says officers responded to 114 Cypress Circle off of Saunders Boulevard, for a reported assault with a deadly weapon. The victim in the incident was allegedly stabbed by his 20-year-old son, Chase Alexander Terziu, according to the SPPD press release. The victim suffering from several stab wounds was flown to a trauma center for treatment. The alleged suspect left the scene in the victims GMC truck.
Law enforcement was able to track the location of the GMC truck which was located and recovered in Brunswick County. In a separate press released on Monday night, SPPD announced Terziu was arrested thanks to the assistance of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

Terziu faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, larceny of a motor vehicle and larceny of a firearm, according to law enforcement.
