Local man overturns Escalade, arrested at scene

A local man was arrested after crashing the Escalade he was driving near Eastwood.

According to N.C. Highway Patrol, the man was driving west on Juniper Lake Road near Highway 15-501 when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the road, hit an embankment, collided with two tree and landed on the driver’s side.

Eastwood Fire Department says the man was able to get out of the vehicle on his own, and was checked out at the scene by Moore County EMS.

While Moore County News was on the scene, the man came out of the ambulance and was placed in handcuffs under suspicion of DWI.
